Guys, do any of you know about cars.
My mother-in-law has a 94 Chrysler Concorde but she seems to be having this problem. After the car has been used for awhile and she kills the motor there is a smell of gas. It’s not like a fresh smell just a vapour coming from the engine. I have checked the gas tank and all the fuel lines from the tank to the engine but no leaks. I have looked around the engine and I can’t find any leaks either. Any idea guys.

It's not that hard to do. I think you mentioned you were in an urban area. If so just yank the carb and have it rebuilt or exchanged. Avoid a chain auto shop and look in the yellow pages and find an independant guy. Usually a little less or the same money and better quality work. I am going to assume you have a digital camera, if so take pictures of the job every step of the way. That way you remember where everything goes. It saved my butt on more than one occasion.

It,s nota hard job at all .real simple, best if you never done it before is to have it done .Does this one have the float and carb seperate, or together don't remember.could just be a bad float.but i would rebuild carb and replace float

Thanks for your advice guys. The mother-in-law took it to a local guy to have it checked out. The motor is a 3.5 V6 well he said that 2 of the injectors were not closing and the fuel was sitting in the cylinder and the vapour was coming from the head vent. (or it was something like that lol lol)
